Lawrence Kansas AP report 18 year old Robert B Arnold of Kansas City was killed when his car veered across the median in a rainstorm on the Kansas Turnpike seven miles west of Lawrence. The car rolled three times and pinned on the hood of a westbound pickup driven by 27 year old Carl Adrian Jent of San Diego. Jent and his wife Daphne 26 were critically injured, their son four suffered a thigh fracture and a daughter two had cuts.
Tito G. Martinez, 78, a garden er, died in a Parsons hospital Friday about 42 hours after his bicycle collided with a pickup at a downtown street corner. He was carrying yard tools on the bike.
