Pope Surrenders After Nationwide Bank Robbery Escalation
Duane Pope, 22, surrendered in Kansas City saying he was tired of running. The confession ends a nation wide manhunt for the Big Springs Nebraska bank robbers who killed three employees and wounded a fourth. Pope, a McPherson College alumnus, had traveled across the U S before turning himself in and facing a 100000 dollar bond. The FBI charged him with the June 4 bank robbery and related killings.
