High Standards At Chanute Junior College

In the past two years I realized how much I owe Chanute Junior College. I was undecided about my life and after exploring departments I chose to become a teacher majoring in speech and drama with a biology minor. The faculty offered encouragement and helped me excel. Chanute has one of the highest state academic records and offers first two year courses at lower cost, with small classes enabling close student interaction. I joined SEA AWS and the Pep Club, enjoying college life while meeting course requirements. The key reason I praise Chanute is the absence of discrimination, ensuring complete equality for all students.

Washington AP reports the House Rules Committee will likely stay under Democratic control in 1965 with two to three new members. Vacancies include Rep. Carl Elliott of Alabama and possibly Rep. Elmer Hoffman of Illinois and Rep. William Avery of Kansas. Potential replacement for Elliott faces regional balance issues. Rep. Claude Pepper is a liberal name discussed.
