Oil wells revived by inert gas injection near Chanute
An experiment to restart dormant wells using an inert gas method is under way one mile south and one and a half miles east of Chanute. Russell Holden of Bartlesville for Inert Gas Corp., Tulsa, supervises the project. In three days four previously non-producing wells began to flow oil as Bob Williams, state Health Department geologist, notes past gas injection attempts in Chanute.
