A Shetland pony saddle and bridle will be awarded at the ball park. About 5 000 attended yesterday’s events highlighted by a centennial parade despite rain and elder county citizens were honored in a closing program with an amateur talent contest.

Two Killed In Crash On U S 50 At Noland Road
A sports car racing at about 100 mph left U S 50 at Noland Road in Kansas City, struck a ditch and rolled end over end for over 200 feet, killing Robert A. Franklin 27 of DeSoto Kansas and Dorothy M. Fares 24 of Kansas City. A third man, Andrew Back 27 of Kentucky, was injured.
