Cattle Rescued From Flood by Local Boatmen
In Kansas near Chanute 45 head of white face cattle were rescued from Village Creek flood waters. Fire Chief C. W. Brennan and Orval Swaney used motor boats to ferry men to the stranded herd and guided it across the current to land. Owner Harris E. Bud Powell was away.
