Earl Belle, 32, a Pittsburgh financier once famous for a sprawling empire, pleads guilty to 2 counts of fraud and record falsification in U S District Court. He is sentenced to two years, fined $10,000, and given five years probation after jail term. associated indictments include New Jersey and Brazil connections.

Robert C. Londerholm, Republican candidate for attorney general, sustained minor injuries in a Tuesday traffic accident south of Lyndon on U S 75. His wife, driving the car, was uninjured. The car swerved to miss a vehicle entering the highway from a side road and went into a ditch. He was treated at a Topeka hospital and released.
Police and a highway patrol plane chased a man who fled a Flor ence service station after not paying for gas. After more than five miles he abandoned the car and fled into a cornfield where he was arrested. Capt. Paul Hastings identified him as Frank Yancey of Plymouth Minnesota. The car had been reported missing at Albert Lea Minnesota.
Charlie, a severely injured coyote found by two men along a road, is alive thanks to Dr. Robert Brabrook of a Wenatchee veterinary clinic. After fractures and other injuries were X-rayed, anesthesia caused breathing to stop briefly but two blood transfusions and English setter blood helped him recover.
A Muskogee pilot, his daughter Carol Schumacher 15, and two Muskogee youths Larry Featherston 7 and Jerry Barlow 12 were killed when a Cessna 170 crashed soon after takeoff from Schumacher airport south of Muskogee. The crash possibly involved in air explosion. the aircraft burned, delaying victim identification. Cletus Barlow, father of one youth, was hospitalized for shock after witnessing the crash.
Theodore Bisel, 24, a Hopewell Kansas actor and singer, died while swimming at Mirror Lake during Lake Placid summer theater preparations. He disappeared in 12 feet of water. lifeguards recovered him but he could not be revived. Autopsy to determine cause of death.
The House Interior Committee approved a bill to distribute tribal funds to Colville Pawnee members in Oklahoma. The suit against the federal government awarded $6,400,000 to the tribe, whose 1,883 members live in 28 states.
Fr Peter J Finnegan pastor at St Patrick's Chanute for 10 years will depart after noon for Wichita to become pastor of St Anne's parish. He will be replaced by Fr Vincent Brown from Holy Cross Hutchinson. Fr Thomas Scaletty joins after two months at St Patrick's. Finnegan organized a $225000 junior high school and gym, and plans a $40,000 rectory with two lots south of the current rectory and a larger parking lot on site.
The first hearing on a suit to require reapportionment of the Kansas House will be held July 14 in the state Supreme Court. The Hutchinson News Publishing Co and executives led by John P Harris filed the case seeking at large elections or new apportionment after a US Supreme Court ruling. Attorney W Y Chalfant said action may be delayed until after the 1964 elections to avoid a special session cost. Kansas currently has 125 House members with 105 elected by county-based districts.
