Dennis G. Tatro pleaded guilty to reckless driving after his pickup collided with Mrs. Pauline Radcliff’s car at Second and Highland. Tatro received 15 days or a $25 fine and was held pending payment. Tools Stolen Valued At 2000 Seized In Chanute Case
Police hold a large lot of carpenters and mechanics tools valued at about 2000. A 25 year old Chanute man is being questioned after the items were found in his pickup by Chief Tom Morehead. He admitted stealing some tools and identified others. a walnut chest and metal tool box may have been stolen from a Fort Scott farm owned by District Judge Harry Scott. Police will confer with County Attorney Charles Forsyth before filing charges.

Porchlight anti polio drive planned in Erie
A porchlight campaign to raise anti polio funds in Erie is scheduled for February 7. The power plant fire whistle will signal contributors to light their porches at 7 pm. Last year the effort raised about $700 with help from the Erie Boy Scout troop and Hi Lo Club volunteers.

A second bill would require the seventh district court to hold its October session in the county seat rather than Erie. It was introduced by Rep. John N. Sherman of Chanute.
