Gov George Romney urged Michigan private and parochial schools to reevaluate and consider afternoon classes after his televised farewell address. St Paul Group Seeks HUD Renewal Grant

Six St Paul leaders traveled to Fort Worth to press HUD regional officials for urban renewal funding and planning money. The trip follows a Dec 9 visit by Sen James B Pearson who intervened after St Paul was initially rejected for renewal funds. The group seeks a 581,130 grant to rebuild the business district and other projects in a town of about 900.

Chanute Eyes Federal Housing Certification After Survey

Chanute officials aim to certify a workable housing program after a city housing survey. Chanute School Board to Allow Executive Sessions
