Stolen Car Recovered Near Thayer
A 1959 Chevrolet station wagon stolen Friday in Kansas City was found abandoned on US 169 three miles south of Thayer around 2 p.m. yesterday. Sheriff Jerry Sloan reported the car skidded off the road in ice and snow and was towed to a Chanute garage for claim. The vehicle, owned by Ace Rental System of Denver, was in running condition and undamaged.
