City seeks HUD grant for Chanute community center
Chanute submits pre application for a 300000 grant to build a multi purpose community services center. Mayor John Schultz said the project would require no city funds and would be larger than Central Park Building with facilities for youth and seniors and groups like Love Inc and Head Start. The center would include kitchens and recreation amenities such as ping pong shuffleboard pool Foosball basketball and possibly an indoor tennis court.
