A barracks quarrel at Fort Riley left Pvt. Terry F. Hosley 19 of Kelso Washington fatally stabbed. Pvt. Robert B. Sylvester 21 of Brooklyn New York is held for investigation.

Charles FE McKinney 31 of Independence R 3 was held in Fredonia today in connection with the theft of a 1961 Ford pickup belonging to Harold J Wilson of 525 S Highland Buffalo. The pickup was recovered about 7 p m and an old model car was abandoned nearby.
Don La Gesse, 57, died Friday when his head was caught between a service elevator and a floor beam at the rear of his radio appliance store in Garden City. He was riding from the basement to the ground floor when the fatal accident occurred.
AP reports unsettled weather across Kansas through Sunday with rain in the east and south, snow in the northwest, and fog and cloudiness. Winds from 20 to 30 mph will make conditions feel brisk. overnight lows range from 31 to 42 degrees with Sunday highs in the 30s to 40s.
Five year old Mary Mote of Dallas receives leurocristine, derived from periwinkle, as part of a United testing program spanning Jamaica to Indianapolis to Dallas. The drug, not a cure, costs $1,800 per gram and requires two tons of periwinkle to produce a single gram. Mary attends weekly injections at Children’s Medical Center while a coalition of scientists from the Southwest Cancer Chemotherapy Group and Eli Lilly and Co. study its effects. Her father is Dallas detective Frank O Mote.
