Patch of ice cripples Stiller car fleet in Kansas

A sequence of ice hazards near Donald and Mrs Stiller’s home in Clathe Kansas damaged two cars and disrupted replacements. A 1953 sedan was demolished on Jan 18 after a sliding motorist hit a hole and struck parked vehicles. A 1968 wagon sustained $680 damage, and a replacement 1960 model was hit again this week, prompting Mrs Stiller to joke about parking future cars on the porch.

New Rock Crusher Bought by Neosho County

Neosho County commissioners approved purchasing a Robinson-Hewitt rock crusher and a diesel motor for 68 000 and 12 250 dollars respectively. The 800 yard daily capacity will cut rock costs by 25 to 30 percent and stockpiles are to be built for improved road maintenance.
