Nearby on a Chanute area farm two Hereford cows of the Youngs have produced seven sets of twins in four years with one calf loss, prompting concern over future cow health.

Chamber endorses industrial levy resubmission
The Chamber of Commerce directors endorsed resubmission of the city industrial levy for voters at the April 4 election and authorized a traffic flow study for Main Street led by Floyd Potter. They adopted a fair share plan for dues starting this spring and reviewed committee reports on agriculture promotion retail transportation industrial and legislation. A third class in the practical politics course may begin with a meeting tomorrow and a legislative panel clinic is tentatively set for February 17 with area legislators. Fifty Year Accreditation Award For Chanute Senior High
