Last night witnesses reported a green door with a welcome sign at 303 N Grant in Chanute drawing crowds who did not stop. A life sized papier mache sheep was stolen from the nativity display at the Junior College Senior High, clipped free and tethered to the ground. Mrs. Thompson found the sheep at 408 E Third and offered shelter and police notice. The Thompson family awaits a school representative to recover the damaged prop. A Chamber of Commerce letter from Les Matthews to Kenya colony regarding native articles for an Osa and Martin Johnson museum was answered by L G Bull noting potential items such as bows arrows shields and carvings may be obtained.
