Oklahoma Atty. Gen. Charles Nesbitt said the state reached an out-of-court settlement with Wilshire Oil Co in a $30 million price fixing suit against 10 petroleum firms. The state will dismiss the case as to Wilshire in exchange for repayment and claims the settlement will cover most litigation costs and leave future recoveries as profit. The suit, filed Oct. 4 in state and federal courts, alleged overcharges of $10 million for asphaltic road oil purchases by the highway department over five years.
