Of 180 potential pints after 123 scheduled donors and 57 walk-ins, 15 rejections, 24 absences and 6 cancellations reduced the total. In McPherson Kansas Mrs Abe W Koehn 60 of Galva died in a McPherson hospital after a two car collision near Galva on U S 56. Her 74 year old husband suffered facial and arm lacerations. Gaylord Dye 38 of Hutchinson the other driver had facial cuts and bruises.

New Church Walls Collapse in Erie Construction
A Nazarene church building under construction in Erie suffered major damage when two walls of the concrete block structure collapsed around 4:45 a.m. The 36 by 82 foot site on State Street lost half the east wall and about two thirds of the west wall, with aluminum window and door frames ruined.
