Seven Youths Killed in Vermont Car Crash
In Winooski Vermont seven youths from the same community died in a pre dawn single car wreck on a rain slick hill near South Hero. Earle DeCarreau 19 and six others including Edward Foley James Daigle and Maurice Soutiere were among the dead. Two church services will be held for the victims at St Francis Xavier and St Stephens. Six members of a Chanute family suffered cuts and bruises in a series of traffic accidents Sat urday. Mr. and Mrs. S L Davidson and their four children were injured at Western and Oak when Davidson's 1956 Mercury and More's 1960 Mercury collided. Sheri Davidson received a 14 stitch cut on the left arm. Other listed fender benders occurred on Main Street and nearby streets, with minor damages to vehicles and a parked car headlight damage reported later.

John Edwin Otte age 11 of Atchison died from head injuries after slipping from a ladder to a diving board at a pool. He fell about 10 feet on Saturday and died Sunday. He was one of five children, son of Mr and Mrs Edwin Otte.
