Mrs. Carl E. Johnson, daughter of Roy Gibson of Chanute, landed a 100 pound sting ray near Santa Barbara during ocean surf fishing. The enormous ray measured 41 inches across its wings and 30 inches head to tail with a 12 inch thick body as her family assisted in the capture.
