Style Revue champions highlight neat fair livestock show
At the Neosho County Fair Style Revue Joan Rogers and Ruby Baker led the Best Groomed honors while Jersey, Guernsey and Ayrshire entries dominated dairy judging. Open class winners and reserve champions were named for 4-H clubs including Shamrock, Prairie Schooners and Workers. The Fat Stock Sale closes the fair with 31 baby beeves 36 fat pigs and 16 fat lambs consigned and base bids announced.

Five Killed In Car Crash Near Emporia
A fatal two car collision on U.S. 50 about 16 miles west of Emporia killed five people including a Michigan State Police trooper and his wife, their 9-year-old son, a 7-year-old, and the woman with two children.
