Fire Chief Brennan reported feeling “cheesy” after learning a telegram announcing that Mr and Mrs W H Brennan of Akron Ohio are the parents of a son born yesterday in an Akron hospital. The baby Terry Lee weighs just over eight pounds and is their first grandson. Marilyn Abbott, age about three, wandered from home in her birthday suit and was found by a service station worker and police after car assistance. She could not recall her address until police located her home west of Main Street and then east, where she recognized a parked car as hers.

Chanute voters approved the airport improvement bonds of 48000 and a 22500 land purchase fund for Santa Fe Park.
