Topeka AP reports warmer temperatures for Kansas Sunday with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in central and eastern areas. Tonight may see showers statewide with low temperatures from 60 to 65 in the northwest and 65 to 70 in the southeast. Highs today near 78 to 87 and Sunday near 90, with readings ranging from Leavenworth 82 to Pittsburg 88.
U S warplanes pressed extensive raids in North Vietnam with 145 missions after a record 197 strikes, targeting antiaircraft guns at Kep near Hanoi and fuel depots. A Navy Skyhawk was shot down, the pilot missing, as ground fighting and Viet Cong attacks near Saigon caused American casualties and damage.
A stolen car fleeing police at up to 90 mph crashed into two other vehicles at an intersection in Kansas City Kansas Friday night. Woman, 56, Mrs Harley Wagner, died. her husband, 61, and five others injured. Suspect James Aldridge 25 and companion Charles Perry 26 were hurt in the crash. Aldridge had been released from a Missouri prison earlier for burglary.
Oklahoma City authorities pressed a search for 6 year old Brenda Lo White now in its third day amid fears for her safety. This disappearance follows another girl missing within the city last month Judith Ann Elwell five disappeared from northwest Oklahoma City. Mrs Bob White of Midwest City reported her daughter missing after the bicycle was found near the family home. Searchers including mounted men helicopters and hikers combed the area with as many as 400 people involved in the frenzied effort amid a soaking rain.
Cincinnati AP report states Richard Goos of Hamilton Ohio was arrested in Hungary on a charge of helping a foreign citizen cross the border illegally. His mother says Dick always aimed to help others after a year as an exchange student at Bonn University.

Police report a fatal two-vehicle crash at the northeast Wichita intersection of U S 254 and Woodlawn Street. Rev. U S Barron 50 of Wichita died after his car struck the rear of a tank truck while Barron was alone.
Judy Ann Smith won grand champion at the 1967 style revue held Friday at the high school. She wore a blue velvet and light blue crepe gown and will represent Neosho county at Hutchinson state show next month. Anne Neely earned reserve in a navy and white cotton suit.
In Wichita Kansas police and sheriff's officers faced rocks bottles and debris from about 150 Negroes after Mayor Vollmer ordered a curfew. Three officers were injured two hospitalized one with a fractured jaw. Ten others treated for injuries. About 15 to 20 arrests. State official Terry Scanlon observer for Gov. Docking. Curfew lifted after 6 a.m. and order restored.
Neosho County set a 1968 tax levy of 35.90 mills for a total budget of 2,629,008.88 dollars, up 2.61 mills from 1967. The welfare, school foundation, and general funds drive the increase while road and bridge and bonded debt figures change modestly. A public hearing is scheduled for August 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the courthouse at Erie.
