Big Thompson flood toll rises as rescue teams scour canyon
In Loveland Colorado rescue crews battled mud and debris along the Big Thompson River after a flash flood swept hundreds of campers and fishermen from a narrow canyon. At least 60 people drowned and 250 were injured with 56 bodies recovered by the sheriff and National Guardsmen as authorities warned many more remain trapped in debris. A 5 month old survivor was found on a rock amid the river.
