Charles Harvey Odom 29 of Wellington Kansas had a preliminary hearing for rape of a 13 year old Wichita girl continued to August 16 by Magistrate Enos C Currey. State requested the move and prosecutor said it would help to have the girl testify. The victim Lisa Schuh is in St Johns Hospital Springfield after brain surgery and remains in critical condition. Richard E. Taylor, 50, of Humboldt, R. 2, died of an apparent heart attack today. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Neuvo Memorial hospital at 11 45 am. Bus Driver Dies Of Heart Attack On Continental Trailways Run
A Continental Trailways bus from Wichita to Dallas struck a parked car near Wellington Kansas and stopped after two passengers noticed the driver slumped over. Coroner B J Myers said Fred W Brown 51 of Wichita died of a heart attack. The bus had minor damage and the parked car suffered 350 dollars in damage. Brown held a certificate showing almost 730 000 miles driven in 14 years without an accident.
