Most central Kansas areas join Central Daylight Saving Time while western counties in Mountain Time switch accordingly. Two youths injured in a single car crash near Santa Fe Park at 12 30 a m were identified as James A Benson of Kansas City and Frank Dexter Jr of 703 N Steuben. Dexter had head cuts and Benson a nose injury. They were taken to Neosho Memorial Hospital. The 1955 Chevrolet belonged to Dexter’s father and was driven by Benson.
A 12 gauge shotgun killed Clarence Dean Ralph, 32, at his Kansas City home Friday night following a dispute with his wife Patricia Ann Ralph, 31. Police said officers ordered Mrs Ralph held and she was hospitalized with injuries.

Offshore gale off Nantucket drives Coast Guard to assist two fishing boats. The 89 foot Noreen with 11 crew reports taking on water 75 miles east of Nantucket, while the 102 foot Plymouth feared lost earlier was spotted in Georges Bank area with Communications down. Acushnet accompanies Plymouth. Noreen not in immediate sinking danger.
The Kansas farm price index stood at 232 on April 15, down eight points from March and from last April. Wheat at 1.52 a bushel, beef cattle at 21.60 a hundredweight, grain sorghums at 1.93 a hundred, with mixed changes across crop and meat indices. Production of meat rose 9 percent in 1966 and commercial slaughter plants produced 1.2 billion pounds.
Beech Aircraft gets an $8 million extension to build turboprop transports for the Army. The deal covers 129 planes for $25.6 million with first delivery in about two weeks and shipments through April 1968.
