The Future Farmers of Senior High School placed third in a 19 team dairy judging contest at Parsons yesterday. Chanute scored 1,267 points to win a gold emblem. Altamont led with 1,350 points and Yates Center had 1,282 for second. Howard Barnes of Yates Center was high individual with 357 points. Richard Fairchild of Chanute ranked ninth with 330. Chanute teammates included Freddie Markham Craig Thompson Gene Reinhardt Ronnie Poor David Masters and Earl Hole. Judge was Ralph Bonewitz extension dairyman from Kansas State College Manhattan.
