The Neosho Memorial Hospital board outlines a three phase plan to add a 12 room ward and obstetrics unit while expanding administration and laboratory space. Total costs run high but 75 000 dollars short remains for funding with county bonds and endowment funds indicated.
Neosho Memorial Hospital announces Monday rate increases for private rooms 16 dollars, semi private 12 dollars, and wards 10 dollars. Administrator Tom Bergfald says the higher charges fund wage and salary improvements after an area survey showing current rates below many peers. About 110 employees will see pay boosts starting May 1, with 70 percent of revenue already spent on payroll.
