C. J. Alexander a 59 year old Coffeyville Kansas man is missing and presumed drowned after a rain swollen creek swept his car from a low water bridge near Lenapah Oklahoma. His wife Pearl 50 and daughter Stella 18 escaped to shore with his son Edward 23 who worked at the Hassell ranch seven miles east. Deputies searched the swollen creek for hours without success.
