Four Cattle Killed by Lightning at Farm
SAVONBURG Lightning killed four head of cattle at the George White farm about 7 20 a m Saturday two milk cows and two stock cows. The cattle were in an open pasture area eating a bale of hay. An electric light at White s home and one at the Blaine Wilson house a mile west were burned out by the storm. White lives two miles south of Savonburg.

Four Die In Kansas And Missouri Weekend Traffic
Four people died in Kansas and nine in Missouri traffic crashes over the weekend. In Kansas two Osawatomie women, Mrs. Charles Pinneo 24 and Beverly L. Henry 21, died after a head on collision three miles north of Osawatomie. Raymond E. Lee 23 of Paola and two passengers suffered cuts and bruises. An 18 month old girl Vanita Marshall of Wilson was killed in a Dorrance area crash. Harland Palser and three other children were injured along with driver Leon Prester 21 of Dorrance. Coffeyville resident Thelma Mantooth 37 died Saturday from injuries from a Friday accident on U S 166 west of Coffeyville. Nine people were killed in Missouri over the weekend.

Missing two year old found sleeping in vacant house
