Martha Ann McGuffey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. McGuffey, has been notified her original poem My Johnnie was accepted for publication in the National High School Poetry Association anthology. Her teacher Oleva Lewis received the acceptance certificate for presentation to the junior, who plans more submissions next year. African missionary held in Topeka on statutory charge

Teddie Lee Wynne of Dallas, president of American Libery Oil Co., signed papers transferring Amilco stock to American Petrofina Inc. The deal, valued at about 35 million dollars gross with Wynne net about 20 million after debts. Ten percent of the net went to the Texas Presbyterian Foundation, its largest gift. Boy Knocked From Bike Picked Up by Sweeper
