Voter tests drew small groups of Negro applicants in Selma and Camden Wilcox County as registrars reported high qualification rates. About 60 Negroes appeared at the Dallas County Courthouse in Selma and 25 in Camden. Registrar Chair Al Wall noted 42 of 56 recent Negro applicants were registered. Skin Divers Find 4 Trapped Men In Arkansas Cave
Four spelunkers were found safe in Rowland Cave near Mountain View Arkansas after rising waters trapped them. Youth Fined $44.50 In Thayer Court
Gary Clover, 19, of Independence R.4, was fined $44.50 including costs by Justice Frank Austin for reckless driving and resisting arrest. Clover was jailed pending payment. Sheriff Neely said Thayer Mayor George Reece, a deputy, stopped Clover Saturday and Clover drove off after talking briefly. Independence police arrested him early today for Neosho county authorities and Neely’s office returned him to Thayer for hearing.

Money Bag and Billfold Found and Turned In
A lost money bag with six dollars and a lost billfold with forty three dollars were turned in to the police Saturday. The bag was found by Penny Vaughn and given to officers by her mother at the station. The billfold, found by Paul Mueller in a park lot on West Main, was identified as belonging to Ralph Hegwald of Yates Center. Police notified a Woodson County sheriff to inform Hegwald of the recovery.

DWI Charged Driver Ed McGehee Arrested in Joplin
Police arrested Ed McGehee of Joplin, formerly of Chanute, at 12 25 a m Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless driving. He was released on 150 dollar bond with a Wednesday hearing. McGehee's car lightly tapped another at Lincoln and Main with no damage reported.
