TOPEKA AP The Kansas House approved a school foundation finance bill by 99 to 23 and sent it back to the Senate. The bill, already Senate approved, faces possible amendments conference, or final approval by Gov. William H. Avery who has pushed the measure. It would add nearly 37 million dollars annually to state school aid, with current aid at 43.585 million and potential under the plan at 80.46 million. Avery backs a tax package to fund the increase, proposing over 60 million dollars in additional annual revenue, including a 40 percent sales tax rise and higher income taxes. Zimmer Penalty Is Death In Conviction of Murder

Fire destroys vacant two story house on Central Street
