March 21 police investigated reports of two broken windows at Wurplar hardware and Model Takery. Investigators found no burglary. police blamed careless handling and intoxicated individuals, noting long-standing window shakings and a door left ajar at one entrance.
The jury in the State versus Milanowski failed to reach a verdict and was discharged by Judge Rice this morning. Milanowski, a barber, is charged with selling it without a license. Attorneys were for the defendant. The case will be retried at the next term per Prosecuting Attorney Buxton.

In Olympia today a canvass aims to raise large funds to start the Olympia State League. Teachner of this city, F. J. Oberer of Chehalis, and Dick Boettner of Aberdeen assist the effort. It is believed the funds will be raised by tonight and the league organization, including officer elections, will be decided by day’s end.
