Feeble Old People Vind. is a tonic claim for restoring strength, vitality, and better sleep. Advertises Vinol with beef peptones iron and manganese peptonates and glycerophosphates in a wine base, citing testimonials from Malone New York Winchester Virginia and local farmers wives.
An advertisement warns against calomel detailing its dangers such as salivation cramps and sluggishness. It promotes Dodson's Liver Tone as a safe vegetable alternative that cleanses the liver without upsetting the stomach or causing tooth loss and highlights a visit by Dr. E. Oden of Atlanta to Mrs. J W West in Youngs.
From France on November 20 1918 Amos Hudson writes home about being in a small village two days from the front after a lively battle with Dutch troops. He praises Doughboys Red Cross workers KC members and Marines and notes hospital stay and relief at seeing towns decorated with flags.

A letter from Thomas Hicks dated December 9, 1918, describes returning from overseas voyage with a storm at sea and relief at sighting land. He expresses gratitude for support from Town residents and hopes to visit home again after further service, wishing Christmas and New Year cheer to all.
Mrs E. 8 and Miss Bucy Willing hams return from Decatur for holidays while teaching there. Several visitors arrive from Birmingham Villa Rica and Dahlonega for family gatherings. Names include Mr Charlie B Wray Mrs B Hays Mr J Ey Hays Mr D Cleveland and others. Also mentions Grover Cleveland of Buchanan and Maurine Maret home from Birmingham.
DugdowN News reports several residents visiting from Youngs Antioch and Cedar town spent Sunday in Cedartown and nearby areas. Mr W E Hughes and children, Mr John Short, Mr Jo Morris, Mr Gus Turkett, Miss Lena Hampton, Miss Viola Garner, Miss Adelle Wilson, Mr Galvin Turkett, Mr J T Morris, Mrs Ed Whitfield, Mr Willie McKibben, Dr C W Peek, Mr Lee Garner, and Mr Herbert Short are listed among those spending the day with relatives and friends.
I W Peck of Coraopolis Pennsylvania writes of severe nocturnal pain. He tried three doctors without relief, then began Foley Kidney Pills three weeks ago and reports wonderful improvement. The ad promotes Foley Kidney Pills from Fulmer Drug Co for kidneys bladder backache and rheumatism.
The notice states warrants against the county may be presented for record at the Bank of Cedartown on the 4th Monday of each month. Signed by M. Williams, County Treasurer.
Doctors tout Calotabs as a safe overnight remedy for colds sore throat influenza and grippe. One tab on the tongue at bedtime with water purports to end the illness by morning without nausea or digestion disruption. Mrs Glyde Whatley files for divorce against G B Whatley in Polk Superior Court August Term 1917. Defendant to appear at the next term on the fourth Monday in February to answer the complaint. If not, the court will proceed. Deputy Clerk Morgan notes filing and dates.
