Vinton station timetable lists Northbound trains Nos 26 61 63 67 with arrivals around 9:25 p m 1:12 a m and 10:13 a m. Westbound No 463 420 and 419 show morning and noon departures with notes of connections to Minneapolis Chicago and St. Louis.
Local residents share visits and travel as Miss Letha Bonesteel and Miss Selma Anderson attend a Rebekah party in Shellsburg. The Sheckler family in Waterloo reports about four inches of snow fell Tuesday and thermometers registered zero. A brisk October spell. Ed Clark, a Traer business caller, visited Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Speer conducted business in Waterloo on Wednesday.
Frank Nelson Garrison purchases the B. L. ONeil modern residence. Mrs. Roy Johnson has suffered several days with tonsillitis. Brethren Ladies Aid set for Wednesday November 4 with Mrs Charley Troxel for an all day meeting. Ivo Donald of Cedar Rapids visited his father A F Donald this week. Charley Barlow of Oakdale spent several days in town.
Mrs Ralph Waughter hosted a coasting party at Bunker Hill Thursday evening. A family union for the James Ridenour home north of Garrison honored Claude Pollock and his children preparing for a Florida winter. Alice entertained Friday evening at Mrs Bo L O Neil and Mrs B 4’s home with friends.
