Warcross Georgia November 2. The Everglades limited of the Atlantic Coast Line crashed into a bus load of school children at a grade crossing near Nahunta. Initial reports say six children killed and twenty injured. The bus carried forty two passengers. Injured were moved to a hospital by an emergency train. The crossing was 200 feet from the schoolhouse. Freight cars lined both sides of the crossing. driver likely did not see the train. Two physicians were sent from Jacksonville seventy miles away. Five children on the danger list.
Des Moines reports a Ku Klux Klan meeting in the coliseum drew nearly 6000 members from across Iowa for an all day session to announce new public policies. Imperial Wizard Hiram W. Evans did not attend but sent four representatives.
