Price Policy Debate At Iowa Grange Convention
Ralph W. Smith urged price rather than slogans to guide farm production under lend-lease aims. He argued against price fixing unless parity is reached and warned against unequal treatment of labor and industry. He criticized Consumers Council actions and Triple-A corn rates, called for elected Triple-A committees, and urged labor peace and federal efficiency. Iowa livestock judging dominated by Ames teams led by Myron Johnson and Harold Parks with top placings in horses and Jersey cattle.
