Marion area review set for bond issue Dec 18

The Grant Wood Area Education Agency and area school boards will review a 1.5 million auditorium and fine arts center bond proposed for Marion Independent School District at a Dec 18 special meeting. State law requires adjacent districts and the AEA to review expansion plans and comment though approval is not binding. The plan may go to voters in mid January or early February. The board also approved YMCA facility use with a 50 dollar monthly fee and storage duties, noting some district facilities are used free for swimming lessons by second graders.
