ISU president vows not to fly state planes after incidents
Iowa State University President Steven Leath will no longer fly any state owned aircraft after admitting to occasional use of university planes for personal travel. He reimbursed 4637 dollars for four trips including a 11 day trip to North Carolina in 2015 that involved a microburst and a hard landing. The university covered 12000 dollars in repairs from discretionary funds and Leath donated an amount equal to all costs to the ISU Foundation. Senate members said lawmakers will review the regents' management of public universities in the next session.
