Priest turns to water work after priesthood retirement
Janssen, a former Davenport Diocese priest who retired in 1991, now guards lifeguards and teaches arthritis water courses in Davenport and Bettendorf. At 78, he leads three weekly water aerobics sessions with a lively crew, drawing on decades of swimming and Scout leadership. He prizes old rock and roll and stays active to stay young.
