Fishing Report Highlights for Iowa Rivers and Lakes
Iowa DNR notes strong smallmouth bass activity above Nashua with crankbaits in off channel areas, and good walleye in deeper water with jigs tipped with minnows or spinner baits. Channel catfish are found from Nashua to La Porte City, brown and rainbow trout are good with spinners, crankbaits, or hooks tipped with worm, and interior rivers show fair walleye and bass with low water and good clarity. Rainbow stockings are on schedule and warnings include low water with caution advised.
