Iowa regulators approve Alliant rate increase
The Iowa Utilities Commission approved a settlement increasing Alliant Energy's electric rates by 185 million dollars and natural gas by 10 million, ending a two phase plan and limiting future hikes until 2029. The change raises average residential electric bills from 13 to 15.50 per month as part of a broader move to fund grid resiliency and renewable integration.
