Water still off for Cedar Rapids family after city order
Ella Doss and her family at 1446 Bever Ave SE remain without water 48 hours after Cedar Rapids Housing Inspection Services ordered their landlord to restore service. The dispute centers on ownership of the two story duplex with alleged owner Timothy Fischer and agent Mark Eads. City inspector Terry Steinbach noted prior pest complaints and warned of further legal action if water is not supplied. Neighbors responded with offers of help and one stranger sprayed the house to tackle roaches, a remedy Doss said seems to be helping.
