Grassley claim on Judge pay highlights 2009 cuts

The Gazette FactChecker assesses Grassley’s ad claim that Lt. Gov Patty Judge refused a 10 percent pay cut while other officials did. It confirms Culver officials took cuts, Vaudt and Northey reduced pay and repaid portions, Mauro and Fitzgerald cut without pay loss, and Judge’s $103,212 salary was not cut though peers differed. The ad earns a B for accuracy and context.
