Des Moines groups press Jepsen for debate on Family Protection Act
A coalition of 18 Iowa groups led a ceremonial letter delivery in Des Moines urging U S Senator Roger Jepsen to return to Iowa for a face to face debate on his Family Protection Act. Organizers say the bill raises serious questions and could restrict federal funding for child protection and curtail free speech. They warn it would threaten church state separation and create unequal access to justice.
