Helicopter Crash at Mannheim Air Show Kills 44
A CH-47 Chinook carrying mostly civilian parachutists crashed after takeoff at Mannheim Neuestheim, exploding into flames and killing at least 44. Authorities say 39 parachutists and 5 U.S. Army crewmen died. some reports list 46 aboard. Rescue efforts continued as witnesses described the craft tumbling to the highway.

Branstad Conlin clash over negative tactics in debate

Coffee does not raise cancer risk study finds
Norwegian researcher Erik Bjelke reports an 11 year, large scale study of 13 664 men and 2 891 women showing no link between coffee intake and cancer. The research filtered out smoking and even found lower rates of colon kidney and skin cancers among coffee drinkers.
