Catholic Girls debut album review by MCA
A juvenile oriented rock package from The Catholic Girls, produced by Evan Pace, with Gail Petersen as lead vocalist. The four member New York New Jersey group uses a simple beat and minor key, delivering ten tracks about adolescent love. Performance qualities mix solid vocals with occasional wobble, while lead guitar dominates in places. Highlights include God Made You for Me as the long instrumental closer with tempo shifts and flamenco touches, though the chorus suffers from too loud lead guitar.
