The Together We Achieve pantry in southwest Cedar Rapids will remain open after raising nearly 45,000 dollars in an emergency appeal led by executive director Raymond Liddell. Marshalltown murder case targets Cosgrove and Alcaraz Gutierrez
Ezra Oliver Seymour died after being struck in Marshalltown early Saturday. Cedar Rapids man charged with second degree sexual abuse
Emily Andersen reports a Cedar Rapids man, Darren J. Barnett, 39, was arrested for second degree sexual abuse of a four year old. The alleged abuse occurred in June while he was roommates with the child’s mother. A no contact order was filed, and Barnett appeared in court Monday, held on a $25,000 cash bail. The mother reported the incident on June 9 after the girl disclosed the abuse to a nurse at Unity Point St Luke's Center.
