Death Alley prompts Missouri student highway drive for four lanes
In Canton Missouri 61 corridor known as Death Alley has seen 36 deaths since 1980. After 18 year old Kristin Hendrickson died students formed SMART to press for four lane upgrades. Their advocacy helped win $4 million federal funds and a $22.5 million state plan to widen 10.6 miles.
