Woman Under the Influence Film Review Highlights Cassavates Vision
Gena Rowlands stars as Mabel Longhetti in a Los Angeles家庭 drama by John Cassavetes with Peter Falk. The film follows a fragile wife whose escalating breakdown strains her husband Nick and their family as Cassavetes showcases improvisational directing and intense performances. The piece lauds Rowlands and Falk while noting the director’s boundary pushing style and mixed audience reception.

The Wilby Conspiracy review with Poitier and Caine
A review notes Sidney Poitier and Michael Caine deliver strong work but not their best in The Wilby Conspiracy. The story follows Poitier’s legal peril and a 900 mile escape amid South Africa’s racial tensions with Black Congress led by Wilby. The cast includes Major Hawke and Carthy in a tense chase ending with justice, a few violent scenes, and a PG rating.
